When creating the seat from the project „of the bobbin“I needed to build a negative form, around which the final seat model was formed. This model was so stable and appealing, that I decided to make a “brother” to “of the bobbin”. Like brothers, they are similar in some ways, but very different in others. 

The interior of the shape consists of six bent 1cm plywood boards, connected with pressed wood bars. To get a seating surface, I covered the structure with formed wood. For more comfort, this was subsequently bolstered with upholstery fabric. I choose a more traditional pattern in order to create a contrast between the modern shape and the fabric.
