Within my class „Photography and Room“ I had to answer the question “How can the phenomenon of space be translated in the two dimensions of a photograph?”

I investigated interiors and the traces of time adhering to them. As my specific topic I chose the interior of trains, therefore the title “Zug um Zug” (Zug is German for both train as well as the move of a chess piece). 

My focus was on the traces and relicts of travellers.
